Wow..hard to believe this one came in so low. I think it's just an excellent shot. Good exposure, good focus and use of b/w and nice casual pose of the subject. I like the rather dark contrast and tend to use that a bit more myself. I think it adds some drama to a shot. It's done really well here without overdoing it.
The only thing I can see to do differently would be maybe some slightly different composition to focus on the texture a bit more...just for the challenge, though. As a portrait I like it just the way it is. |

Your model is easily recognized now Joey. Great image. I like the BW and the tilt of the lens. |

Composition: Great angle though I feel a wider field of view is needed to add depth. One distraction - the person's shirt since the tones are brighter than other areas of the image. 7
Exposure: Seems bang on. Plenty of contrast and the texture of the bricks has been captured well. 10
Impact: The angle of the shot is what creates the impact here and does the job quite well though I feel a wider field of view would add to the impact. 7
Overall: 8 |

Nice, one of the few pictures that has a person in a shot that isn´t a close up of a beard or eyebrows or such and it makes it stand out, I like it and it breaks up the voting in the challenge, I immediately noticed this thumbnail. Nice work. |

excellent photo, i really like the choice of black and white. the biggest problem, for me, is that while the girl can surely feel the texture of those bricks, i can't. i also think that her skin and shirt used to have more texture before neatimage got ahold of them. i really wouldn't change anything technically or compositionally for this photo, as a photo in general, just maybe to fare better in this challenge. |

she is gorgeus...mmm...drooling for the pierced alternative chick although the picture does not entirely fit the challenge.

Good photo! Very dynamic. Good angle to convey action. Good capture of her expression. I guess I feel the texture of her life, but not the bricks as the title implies. |

Another nice image featuring this very good model; she swaps her chains for bricks! It was an inspired idea to have her feeling the texture of bricks like this, especially with such a captivated expression on her face... it makes your texture image into something special. You don't just show the texture, you show us what it feels like. That's two very fine & creative challenge interpretations in a row! 8 |
