 This wheel was found in the deserts in Eastern Oregon. It is interesting because it contains multiple technologies and shows the transition from wagon wheel to rubber tire. Notice the cotton packing inside the tire to provide cushion in case of a flat. Yet, it was filled with air, notice the air nipple in the lower right corner of the image.
