I like the concept, however it would have been better to have a gap between the birds as I feel they are both fighting for the focus of the picture. |

i wonder if having the background bird even more blurred would help, but i do like the juxtoposition between parent and child. |

If you'd moved slightly to the right then there would have been a gap between them, which would improve the composition, because at the moment they seem to merge into each other. 5 |

Great composition - I really love the almost mirrored effect. DOF is perfect. It's a mere quibble, but I wonder if the photo might not be a bit better without the two stray feathers at the left edge. |
