Another photo of mine I'm sure the voters will hate...but hopefully with fewer entries I can get some good comments as to why they might not like it.

Long exposure 1st curtain flash. Started in the praying position, couted ten, then switched to the back position.

It's not a 'finished' image. Critical faculties need not rise to the occasion. I see only a moment, true/funny/sincerely recorded. I feel restless with it, despite the subject (process/flux, is it?), wishing it were forever beginning.

As odd as it sounds, I think wonderbread's comment about the underwear in the nipples applies to me as well. I didn't vote during this challenge, but the first thing I noticed (other than the 'escaping soul') is that the underwear was cover up the chest on the main subject. There's probably no easy way to correct this, other than possibly choosing a different position. The lighting is a bit harsh, but I know that lighting must be tough to manage for a long exposure such as this, especially trying to get the effect that you went for. Certainly a good effort. On a sidenote (nothing much to do with the image), I think voters tend to prefer images that take up a good portion of the allotted space in both dimensions - the extremely thin aspect may have been a turnoff to some.

Personally i think this could be alot better if it would have bin cropped diffrent.
For exampel... Him at the far left side and with good space on the right side. Than i would have had him in white pants. But that is just my personal thinking...
Like it though... The legs are just bothering me littelbit:/ 6

A very nice image which illustrates the price of freedom in that before the spirit rises the body must first be tamed and subjugated to the higher self. The image requires a slittle study to appreciate the double exposure value, however, the prostrate image invites the looker into the image. I am very impressed.

Very nice execution of something that's been done before. Kind of disappointed that the praying guy isn't sharp enough. (I imagine it's due to long exposure.) I think the crop is cut too tightly; more blackness around the image would probably help make it look better. Kudos!

Not a bad effort at all but compared to Nico_Blue´s image in the Fantasy challenge this isn´t quite as good, keep it up though, you are on to something.

I really like this image but (ok, this is odd...) BUT the underware up to the nipples is very distracting- and the only way I could think to combat that would be... a skin colored pair! 8 for now, may bump later :0) good job

Great idea however I feel that the ghostly image in the background needs more definition in order to give the image more impact.

Interesting choice of image but effective. The lighting and filter is interesting. He is glowing. I like the perfecty symmetrical position of his body and hands. How'd you do that with basic editing???

This is excellent. I really think the double exposure is fantastic - good luck in the challenge.
