you know, you speak of emotion being important, and I agree for the most part. But I think this image is full of emotion, or the emotion of being emotionless, exhausted. I like this and liked it the first time I saw it too.

Thanks guys, this one again did better than I thought it would do...Technically ok but not much emotion in there...emotion brings bigger scores! I watched the lion for close to 2 hours with screamings kids running around and bumping my monopod in 95 degree weather, shot 4GB (350+ shots) and this was the best of the bunch. That lion took the same position as my Wildlife entry again, but I just couldn't submit the same thing twice! LOL!

Nicely captured. Good composition though feels a touch too tight at right compared to left for me. The face is so close to centre that it might as well BE centered. Nice diagonal with the bough. Great colour of light though shadows a touch strong in the eyes (no detail) and on the body. Nice DOF choice leading to blurred background.

One of the best of the bunch. Composition, color, exposure, and focus are all very good. A less "bored" expression would have been nice, but that's kinda' hard to control. ;-)

Honestly, I hate the title. It points out something I may not have noticed or cared about otherwise. By titling the image as such, I see that as the subject of the image. So, I will ignore the title. I think the image is well captured - POV, Focus, DOF, lighting all excellent. White spot on the lip could be removed post processing pushing the score even higher. Cropped, composed well. 8 - good luck in the challenge!

Since I am lacking in technical skills, I cannot give helpful comments. I am strictly a photo buff who is trying to improve, but as to telling you what is wrong or right, I am in no position to say. I am simply voting based on whether I like the picture or not. Sorry, maybe someday I will be able to give helpful advice

I love this of all the big cats (including mine). His placement on the wood and the light from the side is really well done.
