| Great tones! Excellent crop, composition, DOF. Not crazy about the angle at the top but I know its hard for the POV this is taken at. 9 - good luck in the challenge! |

| It seems slightly odd that the man's skin is the same colour as the building. He looks quite unhealthy. Otherwise, a very nice shot with good composition and sharpness. 7 |

| Exquisite. At first we think 'this could only have been taken in Europe: Americans simply don't use nice wooden chairs outside." And then we think " This could only be taken in America: Europeans do not play cellos in jeans and black running shoes." This defiance of categorization adds to its beauty immensely. The lighting, texture, colors, framing, and all are very nice. One wishes, just a bit, that the subject's head did not so nearly match the mottled background. And one wonders whether taking the blue out killed some subtle highlights in the shirt, shoes, and case. (if so, some channel mixing might have worked here.) Still, it's a lovely shot. |

| The rounded qualities of the cello, his head and the legs of the chair are a nice contrast to all of the straight lines and angles of the steps and bricks. I love that some of them are white - creating an interesting yet non-distracting foreground. I think I would have cropped out part of the upper third and maybe placed myself so the circular part of the building is not directly over his head. 7 |
