Splendid image. Looking through some older challenge galleries. Can't believe it! 99th, no sir , top25 no doubt in my book :)
Looks quite good on the CRT i'm using, though I reckon it could've used just a tad more contrast. Gave it a 7 back then. |

It's a beautiful B&W. It's a face on straigh forward shot, but it's the angle of light that works for me here. it creates the depth and brings it to life. Well done. |

Composition: Good use of diagonals to add interest. With the lines of the strands I don't know if a straight on view gives the best perspective. However, some sense of depth is obtained from the weave. 6
Exposure: Even though the texture and pattern of the strands can be seen quite clearly the image seems to be a little under exposed. 6
Impact: The pattern is interesting though not enough to keep the viewer's attention for more than a few seconds. 5
Overall: 6 |

Wow, so much pattern/repetition.. but i think you could have benefited from the rule of thirds here...
