| Wow abstract! If you hadn't mentioned in the title what it is I wouldn't have guessed. But now that I look at it a little longer, I see it is a long cylinder of glass. It sure gives off an amazing effect with the light shining through it. The only part I find a little strange is that there is a gradient of shadows to lightness starting at the back to the front, then there is a sudden area of darkeness at the base of the log. Other than that, a very good submission. |

| interesting subject, nice focus. i wonder what other angles would have looked like (that's not a nit, its just a unique object that looks like it has many possibilities). if you could have made the black background 'disapear' completely the photo would maybe had more zing to it. |
