| best in contest as far as I'm concerned...the eye is what gets you when you look at this picture: the texture is somewhat unusual until you see the eye, then the whole picture is alive and elevated to art. nice subtle contrast in skin, lighting is perfect as is composition and crop...10 |

| I wish the eye had some gleam in it. Great detail to the skin.I wish we could see all of the roundness of his eye to add one variant to the mix. The texture of his hide is effective but there isn't a place for the eye to rest. I like the color and the focus is good. |

| Very clever idea and a very fine image. It's also an inspired composition/crop ... that malevolent eye would be much less effective in any location other than where you have placed it. 7 |

| Very cool shot - Love the crop. I do with the colors were a little deeper - the lighting seems to have washed out the shot IMHO, causing some hotspots. Still a very creative entry. Nice job. Bumping up. |

| Nice tight shot, a little bright on the top though, and it seems his coloring gives the appearance of texture rather than light and shadowing. |
