 Without the help of a decent camera to bring out the tonal intricacies of texture, I had initially planned on skipping this challenge. However, at the eleventh hour I decided to go ahead and go for it anyway… what could it hurt?

It is a photograph of an old Soviet battle flag, I’m hoping people don’t dock me for using fold lines as my texture.

IMHO
What works: colors, composition, border. What doesn't work: no real "feel" of texture shown other than the dirty wrinkles in the fabric or paper (can't even tell what the flag is made of).

Lighting a little off making it hard to get a feel for the feel of the fabric. Say that 10 times real fast!
