** Greetings from the Critique Club **
A unique and refreshing take on the challenge. A whimsical photo with appeal. The placement of the chairs - their angles against the angle of the wood floor planks - really was just right. Seems just a bit grainy, but being that this is wood it does not distract from the photo in my opinion.

| A very nice poignant study with a subdued invitation to attract the eyes and concentrate on the universal topic of wood. The composition offers such a wonderful background and as mellow as wood itself. |

| Have to admit that this is an origional perspective. I don't think I"m all that crazy about it, though. I do like the light and shadows and the wood grain detail in the flooring. |

| Nice play with the lighting, the wood floor expresses good change in texture and grain of wood used in the floor, chairs are dark with play of light on them. Over all I like this pic |

| I like this picture, especially the shadows and floor. My only wish would be that the chairs had the bases in them to cast a darker, somewhat more sinister shadow. |

| I think this is superb. A true stand out in this challenge. It is not only creative, but visually appealing on so many levels. The rounded corners of the chairs amidst the straight lines of the planks makes for a very artful piece. The lighting and shadow is excellent. I have to give this one a perfect score!! P.S. I love the title as well. |

| In this challenge, "Creativity is the Key" is what I am using to score images. After looking at 100 piles of wood, I find this image a breath of fresh air. For me personally, I would have lowered my point of view a little, but I love the composition and the tones. The images makes me think about for a moment or two, and it amuses me. A little crop on the right wouldn't hurt but honestly, I applaud your sense of whimsy. 9 - good luck in the challenge! |
