Really nice composition on this one. Something about it really makes it feel like the viewer is right at the game. Dang, I'm a little envious (ok..a lot envious) of these kinds of seats! Ok, I'm envious of the D70 w/ long zoom too! :) |

Beautiful shot! I like the way it looks like the practicing batter is also gonna hit the ball! I agree with Nick about the ball, but hey, this is fantastic already. Great to have captured first base, batter, catcher and umpire (is that what he is called?) and an extra subject! The line out of your picture to the left upper corner takes the eye to where everybody is focused: the ball. On second thought, maybe it adds to the picture that the ball is not visible. Well, anyways, great! |

Hey Nick - Thanks for the comments. I agree it would have been nicer to have the ball in the shot as well. Man I wish I had those tickets all the time. We were sitting right behind the Giants owner and VP of Baseball Operations....a friend got the seats from his boss who is a big time fan. Too bad Bonds isn't playing b/c I could have gotten some nice shots with him being a left handed batter.
Take care,
Dave |

Interesting composition. Sports shots are my favorite. If you could have held off just long enough to catch the ball this would have been 100x better. Not taking anyhting from this shot it is still an impressive shot. Can I go with you next time these are nice seats. |
