Spot metered with exposure compensation at -0.3. RAW adjustments: curves and white balance. In the graphics program I used the hue/sat controls to adjust mainly the red and yellow. Another adjustment to curves and contrast. Cropped, reduced size and applied USM.

The wood is very clear and clean... there's a great deal of material on the image... that seems to clutter it a bit, or maybe not... the green background is a nice offset to the foreground, though

Image tilted left a bit? Nice DOF and color. Framing might be improved using rule of thirds. Very nice.

Amazingly sharp shot, although the bird almost looks like it's been copied and pasted there. For whatever reason, it doesn't look entirely natural (maybe too small, too crisp, I don't know). I'm sure I'm probably wrong, so am not deducting for it - just sharing my opinion. Nice greens in the background and wood tones. Really good job.

the bird looks fake, but i like the composition. background really added colours to the photo as well. 8

Awesome... what lens did you use? wish I had a longer lens to do this kind of stuff. Just lovely... the texture of the wood pops, and the bokeh is nice too. 10
