** Greetings from the Critique Club **

The image seems much too dark imho. Use of a fill flash, or proper metering would have prevented the staute from being backlight and given it a more appealing look. The textures of the wood are hidden in the shadows. The DOF, focus, or both were just not working for you here as all appears too blurry. As for the trees in the background - too distracting. By moving more to the left perhaps you could have gotten the statue alone against the blue sky.

I would have liked to have gotten a good look at the figure but it's a little too dark. 5

better exposure would have given us more detail in the wooden sculpture

I like the composition. The statue itself, though, seems a bit dark.

Would like to see more detail..subject too much in the dark for my liking

Very underexposed. A bit of fill flash or increase in brightness would give this shot more impact.

Your main subject is underexposed and therefore does not reveal much detail in the wood. Perhaps using a flash or shooting from a different angle would have helped. I do like the compoition and shot angle. (4)

The statue is way too dark to see any detail. The tree is a touch distracting. Maybe shoot it with better lighting from a different angle, so it stands alone.
