 Toothpicks were placed in a clear toothpick holder and sat on top of a Mag Light lens. I packed modeling clay around the base of the container to stop escaping light.

Cloned a bit of the black around the container due to light overspill.

Although I didn't enter, I considered doing a toothpick shot as well.
Your centered compo works, but I would have used less negative space.
