** Greetings from the Critique Club **

Good DOF and focus on the bird and his perch, but the fence is awkward. I must say, you did well in at least blurring it and playing the light off it. The color balance is right on here. I also like the framing on this.
As for keeping within the realm of the challenge - I do think this was a bit of a stretch as the subject seems to be more the bird than the wooden perch.

Mjög falleg mynd, þú hefur greinilega fengið marga mínusa fyrir lítinn viðarhluta, þó í raun og veru eru hlutföllin 50/50 en ein af athyglisverðustu myndunum í keppninni að mínu mati :)

Very nice treatment of the lighting on the cage and DOF control to turn an impediment into a design element.

Stretching the wood theme a bit!...unless this is a wood-hawk, of course ;)

I'm sure you're getting complaints about the bird being the subject and not the wood....but I like the picture anyway. Good job.

seems like this shot was taken for the bird rather than its wood content. You might consider using a larger aperature to blur the background and foreground more. Another suggestion is be to find an angle in which the symmetry of the lines is greater.

Nice bird shot. Quite a stretch to have wood as the subject.

nice capture, even through the wire but the focus is the bird. The element of wood/wooden doesn't come out and grab me.

The fence is very distracting to this shot (3)

IMO, the fence adds to the interest of this comp. Nice colors as well.
