 Taken in Red Cliffs Recreation Area, some 10-20 miles as the crow flies from Zion National Park. In Utah at this time of year, lightning almost always means fires. We were able to watch this lightning storm and the progressing forest fire (100,000+ acres burned over a week's time) from our campsite.

Perhaps a forest fire, even if a bit blurry and overshadowed by lightning, will be considered to meet the challenge... I'm sure the connection could be stronger, but I haven't really been in wooded areas lately, and I also just wanted to use this picture :)

Well, I hope this one doesn't get voted down because of the lack of "visible" wood. I think it's a great "out of the box" idea, and a great capture. I'll be interested to follow up on this one to find out where it was taken.
