I didn't even see the hikers when I first took this picture, though I like the sense of scale they provide. I'd had the 18-55 kit lens on all day for landscapes, but I realized at some point that Bryce was often better captured with a telephoto. Finally I got a chance to change lenses, and I was so happy to have the right piece of glass on my camera that I barely looked through the viewfinder as I snapped the shutter!

... which is why I left my camera on ISO 800.

Minimal processing here; minor cropping, resize, USM.

wonderful shot, and the hikers make it even better. I'd love to go to Byce Canyon, Zion etc some day...
