 This may be a risk as I had previously posted a shot of this ship on a DPC tread two days ago. But I just loved the connection to the subject. Maybe a little subtle but for some but to me wood, in the form of wooden ships and in this case the mast, gave us the ability to discover the world.

Converted from RAW using RSE, boosted a little with levels and curves in DIP, sharpened a touch and then resized in PSE3.

Normally a shot this busy doesn't work for me but in this case it does. I find myself following all the different ropes trying to figure out where they go. Very nice composition and exposure. I'll start with an 8, may bump later after I have looked at everything.
