 Taken at a tourist attraction, falls called "Barnafoss" (children falls). According to an old tale, two children walked across a stone arch over the river and fell into the falls, and their mother had the arch broken after that.

Not the greatest shot, but I liked the colors and lines in it and wanted to participate once this month so what the heck.

Resize, USM, levels and saturation done, shame about the blues in the sky. (used a polarizer)

The DOF given this scene is wonderful. I equally like the colors, focus, and leading lines. The people seem to be a distraction imho. As for meeting the challenge - keeping wood as the main subject, I don't see it here.

like the leading lines and the people --- provides a nice perspective.. a bit too much foreground in balance with the rest.

Barnafoss? I like the colours and sharpness but not terribly fond of the composition, IMHO it needs a foreground.

Wonderful landscape, however the posts to me don't make up the main subject of the photo, so IMHO it's a bit of a stretch to meet the challenge.

i think this is a really nice shot -- great composition - the walking trail leads the eye through the entire photo. i hope this shot does well for you. i love it, but i can see where the "wooden police" will not give you the score you deserve because the wooden posts aren't more obvious.
