This was one of my favorites of this challenge - GREAT focus and depth of field. Nice muted tones and a good choice.

This is such a nice b&w! I really like how composition abstract5s to make you ask questions, and the dof part explains. Nice story.

excellent use of DOF, just enough of details in the BG to suggest what it is. Cool, now I just want to find one and have a nap :)

Great shot! Good use of DOF without losing the outline of the overall subject. Goodluck!

Awesome dof on this!!! I love how the background really enhances the subject and makes you realize what the picture is of. Very creative!

very nice, grabs you on the nose and sets you free in a summer breeze

Beautiful. It was an inspired choice to give us a clue in blurry form what it is we are looking at.

Someone said that a good photographer, is a person that can take a boring subject and make it interesting! Good job! Nice perspective that works brilliant with that DOF.

It's a hammock! I couldn't tell at first, then I saw it in the background, OOF. This is cool!

I really like this. The simplicity is wonderful; the texture on the wood and rope really stand out, and I like the shallow DOF

Great DOF. Love the B / W and this meets the challenge very well. Nice Work - 8

Nice DOF. Lighting just seems to be a tad harsh.

Very nice, but the subject (a relaxing, peaceful hammock) seems to beg for a bit less contrast than there is here. the contrast makes it seem rough and callous, while the background suggests something else.

This is a great composition with nice detail. The contrast could be bumped up just a tad for more true blacks and whites, but some thought went into this one. I could see this being a successful stock image. It could be associated with loneliness, emptiness, winter, etc. Many uses.
