post challenge: okay, top 20...really wasn't expecting that! When I entered I was just real frustrated because my original idea didn't want to cooperate. |

easy on the caps.
good use of DOF, however I'd like the focus to be a little closer, so that the ends of the hairs of the brush would be in focus.
that red is gorgeous. |

| Vivid red against the white. I wish the edge of the brush were in focus. I love your use of negative space and the contrast of the color with the stark foreground. Nicely shot. 8 |

though a pretty simple choice of subject, a very very good pic.
