I remember this well from the challenge - I gave it a 6. I think the score probably suffered because of the harsh lighting and the lack of "obvious" relation to the tools topic (but I thought it fit the challenge very well). Really nice detail & DOF (except on the guy moving). I also like the B/W choice. Nice work. |

I have no business critiquing anyone, but I will try to help through what I believe the majority saw. The lights are a little distracting (harsh glare). The challenge was "tools of the trade" and voters probably didn't know exactly how this fit. I understand now that I see your description, but at face value, most probably didn't see a connection. I think it was very original. I tend to like these type of photos better because they make you see things differently. Good job. |
