beautiful flower. Good texture. The soft focus on the bottom stops the eye from moving into the picture.

tools of what trade? this is rediculous. people will submit flowers no matter what.
as far a critiquing goes, i would get rid of that leaf on the bottom its distracting, and open up your f/stop more if you can. this just does not belong here though.

Im not much of a theme fanatic but this flower picture which is not even very good, does not belong in this contest. But that is just my opinion. Gave it 1.

Although this really doesn't fit the challenge subject, the flower picture is rather nice. Good DOF. Could use just a tad boost of contrast or saturation to make the colors pop out a little more.
