Wow, needle! I like it, very focussed shot, very serious picture... right to the point, so to speak (almost no pun intended) colors are good :-)

Grea DOF. Maybe the background is a tad busy. Perhaps a single colored spool might have been less distracting. The needle seems a bit overprocessed with sharpen.

lovely vibrant colours, and the slight grainyness contrasting with the softness of the cottons is also nice

i really like this shot.
its just a pleasure to see people pull out great pics from simple choices of subject. you handled the DOF very well and that noisy look only makes it better. 9.

I don't normally like photos with the motion blur in the background, but it reallyworks here for me. I love the bright colors, and the sharp focus of the needle. One of my favorites.

If you were trying to achieve soft focus on everything except the needle, you did a good job. I will give you the benefit of the doubt as I expect you will be told it is out of focus. I hope people see it as you must have been intended to be viewed.

Interesting shot. I'm torn between not liking the fact that nearly everything is out of focus, and loving the long grainy lines on the top right. I'm rather curious what caused those.
