***greetings from the critique club***

This is a decent picture...it shows a nice scene. The problem is that your composition is lacking. You need to visualize what your intent is. Something that seems to help me is to sit back for a second, look at the scene, and pictures it as a painting that an artist would draw. Where would the artist put this object or that...would the tree in the background be included, would the foreground object(s) be bright or in shadow (meaning do I need fill flash).

When you have everything mapped out, look through your viewfinder as if you're looking at that painting. Position your subjects appropriately, and go for it. Take several shots -- heck take 100 if that's what it takes.

Hope that helped...good luck, and keep shooting, you have some great stuff in your portfolio.

more color at the bottom.

I think i would have cropped out the blurred greens at the very bottom as it really adds nothing to the photo and it still would leave the horse's in the rule of thirds. great photo score=9

Very beautiful picture. The meadow is inviting. Nicely composed picture. Lighting is nice too. Good take on the challenge.

I wish the tree weren't dead center. Maybe shoot from a different angle. Seems a tad overexposed as well. I like the three horses. Maybe tone down the brightness a tad.
