Critique Club - hi Bob
Good shot - there's a lot of good stuff here. I especially like the formal arrangement of it, and the attention to detail in the arrangement of the pegs. Focus, exposure and appropriateness to the challenge are all faultless.
The unevenness of the light is a problem - not a major one, but it's held the score back a bit I think - just that the blue zip is darker than the others, and the yellow peg at the left likewise. Tricky to achieve for sure - but that kind of attention to detail in the extreme is a hallmark of winning photos here. I wonder if a touch of fill-in light from opposite the key-light would have helped - it needn't destroy the texture that you've got so well, but would perhaps make the shadow less extreme and help the evenness of the colour.

| Good! Reminds me of my yellow submission, I did something similar with some bits of cheese hanging on a line, have a look. It didn't do as well as I expected though. I hope yours does, I like the way you have set it up particularly the way each zipper is open at different lengths. Part of the line is showing in the top left hand corner, I had the same problem :-) Good luck! |

| Neat idea. Colors, while saturated, are somehow dull. I think the levels are set too narrowly trying to get the black background. |

| Very nice. I like the varied clip colors and the black background. A little detail is lost in the blue zipper, but overall a very eye catching shot. |
