These little guys are huge, about 3 inches, and very pretty they come in iridescent black and dark blue with either black or orange wings. I found these in the Sonoran desert in Arizna. They kill tarantulas and basically lay their eggs in the tarantulas body. When the babies hatch they have their first meal!

I just saw these little guys on Animal Planet last week. What a great picture! Good focus and I love how he stands out from the yellow flowers.
