I'd been looking at the challenge's for a couple of months but this is the first i have entered.

After thinking about it for a couple of days I thought about my friends that have been struggleing for a while living with parents because they never had much money or anywere to live, they now have thier own home but are living to a very basic material wealth.

In the begining of June they welcomed into this world Xander & logan proving material wealth is not always financial.

Mother and Son, showing love is also material wealth.

Love it, I would like to see a bit more contrast in it though.

thank you for making me feel - the curves of the fingers and the little forearm are very beautiful - a wonderful entry.

Truely priceless.

This is a nicely done photo, and I'm guessing you're getting beat up for being THIS out of the box. Affluence of family? I think it's nice, and vote 7.

I'll be there in less than two weeks myself, Great capture and very emotive. (for me anyway)

Great subject choice! Would have liked to see a little more contrast between background and hands. Also like the soft blurred mood of this

Material wealth? Nice shot but not very fitting to this challenge in my opinion...also, I though maybe, just MAYBE the title could pull it through as an "abstract" interpretation of the topic (material wealth)....but when I read your title it didn't lead me to this at all. Your title is "Loving Touch"....this is a direct and literal title that, if anything aside from the literal interpretation, could represent love, nuture, or relationships....NOT material wealth.

I would call this priceless. Lovely shot!! I really like the lighting. The B&W skin tones against the light background is great. Good job!! 10

How could you be richer than that! Beautiful photo! I love the dreamy background.

nice pic but does not conform to theme which is material wealth?

Where is the "material wealth" representation in this? Please read the challenge topic before shooting, thank you.

Born royal? :) Very nice.

This ia a wonderful kind of wealth, I agree, but the challenge specifically called for material wealth so I can't give as many points as I'd like. Nice line, though.

Mea culpa here. Changed my opinion. "Material wealth" doesn't need to be interpreted only in an economic sense. Bumping. More contrast would have made this even better.

This does not say 'affluence' to me, sorry
08/04/2005 11:47:34 AM
What does this have to do with affluence?
08/04/2005 11:15:59 AM
Nice photo, but does not suggest material wealth.
08/04/2005 03:36:08 AM
Great photo! Was wondering if you were going for a soft look. A little more contrast would of got you that extra point! Well done!

Good photo. Lots of truth behind it! - 8.

Affluence doesn´t always glitter! Fine photo and meaningful, love it!
08/03/2005 07:27:01 PM
would have suited the old and new theme better.... nice photo though

So very very sweet. The composition is lovely. Could you up the contrast a little and still get that soft effect? Hmmmmmm This would be fun to use a diffuse filter on as well. Thanks for the smile. :~)

a nice picture but don't see how it relates to the challenge.

I love this image! I'm a new father and a bit of a sucker for these shots (especially since I've been planning to shoot something very similar to this with my son) A new child can truly make you feel like the richest person alive... I hope the message isn't lost during voting.... maybe a different title could tie it in to the challenge a little better. IMHO more contrast would give it a little more punch... great capture though - 9

nice shot, but far from the theme of the challenge (material welth)
08/03/2005 10:00:42 AM
Regarding the image -- Nice picture of very special bond -- black & white works well. I would maybe crop the bottom sleeve out for a more equal balance?

Regarding the challenge -- doesn't speak to "material wealth"
08/03/2005 09:33:30 AM
Beautiful picture but myunderstanding was material objects...
08/03/2005 05:26:22 AM
Sorry but as a mother i belive that this is Affluence, why should material wealth be mesured in Dollers and Pounds? Money can not buy love.

I really like this photo.
08/03/2005 03:06:43 AM
great shot....wrong challenge
08/03/2005 12:38:21 AM
Very nice photo. But to the disinterested observer, there doesn't seem to be a direct link to the challenge theme.
