The petals create nice texture.

The focus on the iris is a little muddy, and there's no real center of attention for the photograph, to me - nothing to look at, for the picture to be about.

I would say that is blue, but you meet the challenge because that is definitely green in the photo.

I like the color you have captured in the flower. However, in my opinion, the composition just doesn't quite seem 'right'... it's a bit off balance: not quite centered, not quite rule-of-thirds. I would suggest bringing the yellow center of the flower a bit more left in the frame (closer to thirds), and using the nice line formed by the contrast of the green and brown to lead the viewer's eyes to the rest of the image. A shallower depth-of-field focused on the center of the flower might also serve to reduce the impact of the more distracting background.

Interesting crop. The Green is in Focus but the purple isn't. I would have tried it the other way around. Is it purple? I'll have to take your word for it since I'm colour blind.

The wood chips provide a nice background but the green is distracting.

Lacks a bit of sharpness.... running it through neat image would do wonders.

Another POV and maybe a you should've come a little closer and the picture would improved greatly.

The flower looks more blue to me on this monitor. A tighter crop with a closer macro of the details of the flower would be better as the background here just distracts.
