Beautiful light on this image, and the subject is deifinitely the color. This shot should have done better.

The cracks in the walls gives your photo texture.

So you couldn't make the lock purple? (A simple trick with Photoshop). Just an idea, then all the photo would be secondary colors. I still like the photo.

wow! I really like this one. I love how the lock stands out, however the green just rocks. Good eye. Jacko. 8

Wonderful composition! The light's gradient across the green is really nice.

An interesting subject, but a somewhat plain shot. Shooting this from several different angles, from low down, from the side, closer in, etc would likely have provided a more eye grabbing shot than the straight-on, centered composition. Personally I would have made a bee-line for the lock and switched to macro mode.
Technically well done, but doesn't really grab the attention of the viewer.

very effective, its 'only a door' but it's very alive - 8

A vertical shot might have worked better here to capture the entire door.

so much texture in such a flat subject. Nicely done! Fun touch of blue, and such nice colors too.

One of the most interesting shots in this weeks challenge. Focus does seem a tad off, and I a little unsure about the composition. maybe rotated to a verticle orientation would be better? Not sure... Also, If you could have shifted the blue to orange, it might have both made more of an impact, and hit hit the challenge even more swuarely on the nose. Still though, this is a very nice photo, and I very much like it. Well done. 8 md

The contrast between the green steel and the blue lock is excellent. The texture is very nice.
