** Greetings from the Critique Club **

Very creative. I like the image, depsite a few techincal problems. The building seems to be leaning backward too much - an angle correction is needed here. As for lighting, the lighting on the building is bright - no shadow from the leg lifted over it. It should have had some burn tool used on it to give it shadow. The person is a little too dark. needed more light here, especially on the boot.

wow, a top twenty finish, I only joined this site a couple of weeks ago so I'm really pleased. Thanks for all of the constructive comments and the praise!! With a busy work life and two kids and a self build my photography is only ever based on grab shots so I'm really pleased with this one.

Many thanks!!

The hard part about trying to make a perspective shot like this work it making sure that the lighting of both subjects match up and add to the illusion. Unfortunately the lighting here doesn't match. It makes it obvious how the 'illusion' was done...

A great use of a wide angle here. Perfect execution. How many times did you have to try this to get it just right?

this has great potential, maybe a little mud or something flying from the shoe would really add to this-8

Cute and very funny. Another avenue to explore and heighten the illusion is to have found or made from clay a small brick to hold right in the fisted hand as if you were lifting it from the top of the structure.

Great use of perspective. Everything is nicely sharp throughout.

Effective illusion although the person is a little too close to the camera giving a little blurred look..

the rest of the body is distracting in the photo it could have been better without that part in.

not really believeable, unfortunate angle

The illusion is good. You have come accross the problem of a balance of expsure between foreground and background. I would prefer a little more definition on the leg and shoe to really lift this image

Nice shot... it appears to be lacking a bit in crisp focus, and the colors are somewhat dull, but there is a clear illusion and I like the crop job.

Nice use of angle to create the illusion of size. IMHO, the colors could be bumped up a bit, but the detail and scale is good.

good eye for a photo op for this challenge, perspective may not be quite right, but definately you get props for seeing the opportunity

Nice but may want to move the "person" back a little. He is too far forward.

First Impression: Nice pose. A bit dark on the giant compared to the lighter bricks.
Was I fooled? Yes! Very very nice!

Good job on this illusion. Composed nicely and I like the angle. My only complaint...the subjects appear a little dark and dull. 9

This would have been a lot stronger entry if your angle was a little different. The idea is good - the foot is in the wrong place.

This is pretty good! For a better effect, I think you should have been a couple more feet behind where you are right now so that it really looks like you're trampling on the building :)
08/08/2005 02:25:21 AM
Great illusion! Can you say, "crotch shot?". lol!

This is a great illusion a real trick photography shot. It is just a shame you couldn't get a day with a better sky as it seems a little bright for this image. But overall a great shot 8

i would like this more if you didn't see so much of the person (especially their butt)

now this is an illusion... well done... i love the naturalness here.... 8
