I normally hate overdone 'creative' borders, but this is very tastefully and effectively carried out here. Did you design it, or is it a predone action? |

I love the old way you fixed this photo. Had the steps looked older , I would have though this photo was made in the early 1800's Great Job !! (9) |

Nice. I like everything about this and therefore upping your score on this my second go around. |

This image is reminiscent of days gone by...when children used imagination to build castles and empires with a few boards on a tree...when they believed they were protected overseerers by virtue of their height above the ground where all else roamed. Additionally, the sepia tone and black diffused bordering add to the nastalgia. If the intemt pf time capsules is to capture a past moment for future reference, then this image is highly successful. |

I like the edging. Great sepia. This certainly looks of days gone by. |

6 - Ok I do really like this shot but have convinced myself you did a typo with the title in your year. At least that is my hope as I would like to think of this (especially given the effects you have applied) as an older 'era' (even though I doubt the frame of the main steps would be that 'machined' long ago). I think you met the Challenge (based yes on this supposition) as a photo of this into a time capsule captures a certain 'childhood' essence of this era for future generations. Criticism; whilst I like the darkness around the edges, I am not in favor of the particular frame you chose. I like the sepia(?) effect a lot and an even grainier or 'softened' effect would possibly make this a better photograph in my opinion. It is a unique 'treehouse' and adds a definite character to the photo which is really why I am commenting on this shot. Extra points too for not 'explaining/elaborating on' the year. Ok, also, if this IS 1985, then maybe color to bring the character of the era more to the photo ... either way, I like it. Ok 6 from 5. edit: sp

Nice picture but it really does not say 1985 to me. The brown makes it looks older. |

This feels more like 1885 than 1985. It probably has some significance to you. Don't like the border |

This is a great shot, wonderful color contrast and composition, but the "sense of time" is a little vague. Still, I'll ive you the benefit of the doubt - this is truely wonderful. 10 |

I love this picture - apart from the border and the vignetting. Without those it would have been a 10, as it is, 8. |

lose the frame, it really messes up a nice tree house ladder. |

I really like this pic a lot, but it doesn't feel at all 1985 to me. It really is beautiful though. |

I'm at a loss. Where's the connection to '85? Is the border symbolic of something? It gives a nice impression of an old or damaged photo but '85 isn't that old. |

The white border makes this look like a picture of an old picture. Is that what you meant' to do? |

really like the photograph, (really) but wouldn't be surprised if this border and treatment makes others suggest it for DQ. i don't do that though! so good luck not getting DQ'd! |
