The lighting and dof add so much impact to this shot. Someone else could take just a snapshot of this same scene and it wouldn't work nearly as well. It really catches the feel of the ceremony I think. I would probably clone out the colors of the symbol or whatever that is under his arm sleeve. |

Outstanding! Brought tears to my eyes... I'm going to try to post some photos, I'm at work now. 24 hour shift, and only able to get to pics from my previously mentioned sites. You will find that it is a lifetime change, once a Marine, always a Marine is so true. I'll email you a link to a slideshow I made. As a side note, there's a shot of my son Joshua speaking to a man in a wheelchair, that gentleman is Ron Kovic, author of Born on the Fourth of July. |

This is a really powerful image...the coloring lends a nice intensity...red = stop...red = blood...a brave young man to enter the Marines at this particular moment...I have a few relatives who have recently served or are serving right now, my cousin is only 19, all have been changed forever by their time in Iraq. |
