I never got to vote on this image during the challenge, and I am sorry because I would have rated it high. I like the composition and the yellow tones. Good job on this one. |

I liked this one alot (gave it an 8). I think you should have scored much high. That's just IMHO. Great job! |

I'm not a fan of the yellow tones, but nice framing of the shot and texture and contrast on the different faces of the different buildings. |

5 - I think this is a very good photo but - I just wish you had only the year (a 7 or more if you had), but yes a photo of this put into a time capsule would depict the era for future generations. Criticism; not much, I like the sepia, I like the angle, save for maybe a little more 'ground' if that were possible. It is a good factory shot and yes does depict the era and in my opinion, didn't need the 'explanation'. |

This is a great old factory! I'm liking the aged look here but the yellow hue is on the overpowering side. |

Too much yellow. Could tone it down just a little. |

I don't think America was built on industry, but more on a determination, confidence and believe in themselves.
The bright yellow toning and contrast is interesting. The compotion works well, apart from the fact that the lines lead me to the bottem middle of the frame and shows nothing special there. 7 |

Lovely use of monochromatic tones--don't pay any attention to those disturbed by the yellow sky....just pick up a copy of the short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" or read a bit of T.S. Elliott's poem about the yellow smoke wending its way through the industrial alleys of town and you'll quickly ignore your detractors.
Only pitty here, for me, is the street signs. I don't think you would have lost much by cropping in 1/6th from the right. |
