 Steam Locomotive No. 794 (donated by Southern Pacific Lines) is located at St. Paul's Square in San Antonio, Texas. I love train pictures and thought that this met the Time Capsule Challenge.
I used my auto setting, resized to DPC criteria, and converted to black and white.

The age of steam and transformers. I find the subject to be very photogenic. And I like the way the lines lead the eye across the photo. The palm trees add interest and so does the platform. Those curious standards on the sidewalk I find distracting. And I wish, somehow, that I could see some of the details in the dark black shadowy areas - though I do understand why this was simply impossible.

Good photograph. I think it could have been improved by taking a few steps to the left so it would have not included the that first telephone pole.

Nice picture and the train is a good example of the time period. Should have cropped out the power with the transformers. They kind of ruin the mood of the time period since they didn't exist back then.
