| 4 - Whilst I do like this shot, for the Challenge, I would like to have seen a closer view of the barn(?). A photo of this (primarily the barn) put into a time capsule, would give a sense (depiction?) of an aspect of the era/year for future generations. Yes, also, in my opinion, the year was only needed, and in fact would have made more impact to this shot in my opinion. I like what you have done with the desaturation. Criticism; less of the rocks, more focus on the barn, even enhancing the 'barrenness' would have made this a better photograph in my opinion. |

| the desat dont really work too well for this composition. also, the rocks are not very interesting. |

| The foreground and background just don't seem to be related and contradict each other in a way that is unsettling. The choice of coloring seems rather odd too. |

| Clever use of desaturation. Interesting composition. The textures are appealing. However, the reflective white bits in the near rocks detract from the potential this image had to make a great impact--easily remedied in advanced editing, but incurable under the basic rules. |

| over the top with the saturation. with a much lower red value this might have worked. |

| I'm not all that crazy about the desaturation. The picture looks very splotchy and the red of the red barn is a little oversaturated. |
