Colored lights on a whirly gig of some sort. more later I'm late!

Well here's what's what. We went to Cape May, NJ for lunch and my friend is a Lighthouse Freak so we went to Cape May Point cause she also wanted to see the Wreck that was there...some ship that has been diminishing in size since ran aground way back when. Well that wasn't there, but it started to rain and she wanted to shop and there was a tourist shop there so she did. I stayed out side and took pictues of the R.A.I.N...don't get me started about that again! I went in a bought this whatchamathingie...I'm calling it a whirly gig. It was reflective so I thought hmmmm....colored lights let's see what we get. So later when we got home that day, I set the whirley gig over the shooting area and put a mirror under it...don't know why...not sure it did anything for this or not but that is the set up. Strung 3 strands of small, colored decorative lights down on diagonals in front of the whirley gig....here is a pic of the set up:

Well dang...skiprow's coding really does work....anyhow...I spun the whirleygig and did several shots at varying shutter speeds of 2 or more seconds in a 3 shot +/- 1/3 auto bracket with the camera set on timer. I found that the lesser the velocity of the spin of the whirley gig the more defined lines of color came out in the image....Noise aside...come on it's low light and a Fuji...there has to be lots of noise...which got cloned and healed out of the entry image....not much else to say....here is another one for the diagonal fans:

And that's about that...if you have any questions, let me. Not sure of a print of this...too much noise...but if you really want one...I'll see what I can do. Thanks! Oh and thanks for the two favorites and the all the comments during the challenge!

I Like this - a truly abstract picture very pleasing to the eye, the colours are bright and vibrant very good

For an abstract type shot this one is pretty good! The only thing I would do differently would be to crop it in closer so the oscilations fill the frame more from top to bottom...

Looks a lot like some sort of mutant DNA. However you did this, it's very cool! 9

Is this an illusion of a sine curve? LOL. It's a great effect,

Beautiful colors - this would have done well in long exposure. Not sure exactly what these are (lights?), but it does make for an appealing pattern.

First Impression: Cool! Pretty colours!
Was I fooled? I do not see the illusion here. The image does not really explain it. Still, me missing it doesn't make it a bad image and I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

Forgive me, but I don't quite understand the illusion of this photo. I really like that abstract"ness" of it, though. I love the colors. It would also be a great picture to have more of the color fill the picture and at an angle. I'll be anxious to see how you did this after the challenge. 8
