I took this from my second floor office window. It had rained hard-then slowed-then poured. I saw this broken umbrella in the empty lot and liked it. Now that I see it on my monitor, I like the reflection of the bricks from the building across the street in the puddles up top.

Didnt think the image was aesthetically pleasing. Good contrast in the umbrella, though.

I like your idea here. The parking lines add to the composition. I might have gone b+w to remove the distracting greens or cropped the top portion out just above the 2 large puddles.

I like the idea. The green clumps of grass are distracting, as is the piece of trash next to the umbrella. Perhaps a different crop would and some cloning could change that. Good luck!

Perhaps a tighter crop on the umbrella?

Simple. Love the composition and negative space of the concrete area.

funny shot. poor umbrella, poor somebody. I feel this would have been very effective with a crop off the top parts and a more landscape view. 6
