There ha ve been other purple flowers, but none this close up, therefore this one stands out more and the title works for it too. It doesn't seem as sharply focused as it could be, could be my eyes. Nice photo.

I have to admit that I have a flower entry as well so I'll be fair when it comes to this image :) This is a great shot but there are a few things that bug me a bit. One is the little white speck in the middle of the flower. What is that? I think you could have cloned this out of the image. Second is the black background. ideally black would have been great but the idea for this challenge is to go "out" and shoot. Black is never always seen outside with flowers. A white background would probably be more effective IMHO. have you tried shooting from a different angle? 5

Great title. What a vivid purple. Nice macro. I'd have liked to see more negative space on at least one side of it.
