If I hadn't been a slug and finished voting, there would have been another 10 in your stats. My comment stands, as does my vote in thought anyway.
Thanks for making the day a little brighter with a funny, unique perspective on the challenge. Cool shot Adi.

Here, here!!
Totally agree with your post comments.
And not because I shot a fountain, but because I thought photography was about creativity. Great shot. |

I was a 10, for one it is just brilliant how well you saw this challenge. The pic is outstanding, true NG stuff. Never allow the score to dictate to you what it should be. Look at my profile and see what I mean. I, for one, is proud of you and admire the work you do. |

heyah, adi!
boy, i would hate to put myself in a position of feeling sorry for 250-300 people...
this is the toughest part of the 'challenge'--interpreting it in a way that connects with people, while being true to yourself. sometimes, it just isn't going to happen. you are happy with this image, and that's fine. you probably know the things you could have done WITH THIS IMAGE/SUBJECT to have scored higher (title, less sharpening, both animals in focus, etc), but it was your decision to render it this way. don't waste time feeling sorry for those that you didn't connect with well enough to get your point across. just go out and shoot something else.

he looks like an opera singer!!! glad you don't care about the score, it's a fabulous shot in any case.
I didn't see this during voting (not enough time alas), I wish I had! |

I bumped this up from my original score for the humor aspect. Afterall, there are all types of "live music" in the world. :-) |

Does not meet the challenge. |

motion blur is distracting and I think this pushes the envelope of live 'music' a little too far... |

Sorry, but I just don't get the link to 'live music'. Overall a good photo though. But colours are muted, and lighting is a bit 'grey' - too much grey here! (Even a greener background would have offset it) |

I don't see the connection to the challenge. If I had to guess what the challenge was based on this submission I would NOT say 'Live Music'. |

coming back for comments. This is a typical 'outside the box, creative shot' which unfortunately, will not score well on DPC. Brave entry or not so smart? Brave is my guess. Okay, the pic; Always as a rule of thumb, make your back object the one that suffers from poor vision, ie being out of focus. Not the front one. Selective desat works well hereand looks almost like it could be natural, a great skill and a very good touch. Does it meet the challenge? Well I must admit agains all odds that I think it works quite well, why, and I guess the guess of predictor, this will not do well is because there are plent of simple minded evaluators who want to see a human and insists on a musical instrument. But the voice, man's most natural and the greatest asset, the voice, comes in a box you can not see... the voice box. And who has a more smoothing voice than a bird or an animal or evenind at dawn, nature itself? Where, if you live in a city has not yearned to hear the voice of silence? Yip, it fits very well. Well captured! |

.If this were in a club or auditorium I feel it would be more effective at meeting the challenge description. |

This is pretty funny. Looks like they are singing. Wonder which one? "God Save the Queen?" or "Advance Australia Fair?" Certainly not "The Star Spangled Banner." |

The DOF is too thin, a bit more would have made this photo very interesting. and the sharpness suffers even the front "singer" |
