 My axe with my wife's hand on it with a black cardstock background. Lit with a small table lamp in the corner and an LED, which was also used to draw in the music emanating from the bell.

this is one of my faves. I like the thought stream you used to put it together. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is the hand somehow illuminated in a "brassy" light.

This would have scored a couple points higher for me if the turmpet was better exposed, but an awesome idea and good result! 7

I really like this shot, but it doesn't say live music to me. It screams set up studio shot. Sorry but I can not score it very highly. BUT don't be surprised if you see me pick it as a favorite after the challenge...

I liked the effect. If this makes it through the rules of basic editing, I'd like to know how it was done.

nice...but the hand looks out stretched and unnatural.

Do this with the face on the other end and it'd be kudos
(As in, if we saw the face blowing on the horn so it looked like the musician was creating the light from the horn and you could see his or her cheeks puffed up as if he was making the light than this would be a 9 or 10)

Interesting effect, but certainly doesn't say 'live music' to me. Trumpet needs a little more light.

I like the effect, but I'm not so sure how crazy I am about the lighting on the trumpet. It must be a challenge, however, lighting something that is so reflective. Something else that bothers me is how the hand is holding the trumpet. It isn't held that way when someone is playing, so it gives the image that a person is just holding it up in the air.
