Could've used a NeatImage. Interesting effect here.

Lovely looking tree. Pity about the fence. This shot with the shadow but no fence would be fantastic. 9.

I like the image and composition. A pure black and white might have been a better choice of tones.

Well done, the composition really works here - 9.

Gorgeous. Very creative use of technology and the subject is ideal for the manipulation as you've done it. I would hang this on my wall, and if I were a member I'd have given you a 10. :)

Very emotional piece, this photo. Your duotones really work to bring out the feelings of loneliness, so in a way, this is one of the best photos I've seen in which duotone wasn't just a choice--it was the right choice. 10

The cool frosty blue hue is perfect for this lonely tree. The white tips of the branches look like a dusting of snow. The composition including the small bush emphasizes the loneliness, and the fence give a feeling of being closed off. The white tips of the tree are balances nicely by the dark blue shadow on the ground - wish the fence post didn;t intersect it. But I really enjoy this pict. 8

Very nice, is that infrared? How can it be lonely, it's got a little friend down the way :). Love the inclusion of the fence, adds more depth.

This has so much emotion, and the blue cast really works here. OK, since I keep coming back to this, I'm upping it to a 10

Very eerie, reminiscent of ice even with the clear field. I presume from the title you were going for something desolate-looking, in which case you succeeded.

I like this but the fence in the foreground spoils it a little

I like the grainy, chilling quality presented here. It looks so much like ice. (though I suspect it was done through IR) Either way, it's well presented and the tone compliments it nicely.

you gambled a little with an artsy presentation and i like it. it looks a little like an ice storm and a little like an infared image. the light and dark layers: sky, distance, midground, and foreground make this a very interesting image. 8

Was this solarization? The tree is highlighted wonderfully and really catches the eye. I dont like the fence in the foreground, maybe if it was less focused or cut out completely?
