Love the angle and the hand position. I know, many folks complaint about the darkness but I appreciated it. How else can one one convey this mood? Bumping up.

The mood fits the title well. Nice exposure. If it weren't for the title/direction you were after, I would have liked the light to be moved slightly to the right so you could see a little more detail on her back. Well done!

Brilliant lighting and contrast.

nice shot, perhaps a vertical rotation instead..

good 8

Great lighting to bring out the detail and the depth of the shot. I'm not sure if I like how it's turned 90 degrees though. Good job.

This is a slightly odd angle for this pose. I'm wondering if it'd do better in portrait orientation than in landscape. I probably would have liked it better. I think the light falloff from her arms onto her back may be a bit too much, a very small fill and elevating her a bit farther off of her apparent background might have created a bit higher score.

I really like the lighting and the pose of this picture. I like the contrast too. I hope this does well. Good luck.

this would probably have been stronger vertically, and with a bit of light down the back. as is, it's more 'topless' than 'nude'.

A little wisp of light along the buttocks region would have had me on this one....

Well done technically, but boring compositionally. 6.

Nice lighting and pose. I like the tonal range. The interlocking fingers and shadows they cause is quite interesting. I think a completely black bg might set the model off a little more. Overall a very nice photo.

nice b/w with good use of light in this unique composition

I like the lighting and subtle suggestiveness of nudity here.
Not sure if I understand the title, but I like the shot.

Good pose and nice sharp image....the background is a little distracting though

the crossed fingers show the tension in the image well. I like the extremes of tones used - another tension builder. Crop/composition good. POV and focus/DOF well done. 9 - good luck in the challenge!

i think the pose is very interesting and having the fingers behind the neck adds lot of small detail and a focal point in the shot. good lighting as well.

Nice lighting on the hair, hands and shoulders. I wish there were a bit more negative space and it weren't so dead centered, but that's my personal taste.

Excellent concept and execution to go with the title. The shooting angle is what really makes this shot for me. Generally I like more even and soft lighting, but I think the harsh lighting improves the message here.

great light & perspective.
08/22/2005 06:35:42 AM
very dramatic B&W.

Tense. Good lighting and composition.

a different perspective. Would have liked to have seen a bit more of the back.
