Nice focus, well done. The lighter background makes for a nice contrast.

Where are the twins :)

I always get problems with the antennae out of focus, or blurred if I use a longer exposure. Not much you can do about it.

mike, the sheer creepiness of this bug astounds me. the fact that bugs are, or appear to be, hairy is one of the sickest things i can imagine. of course, sicker yet is the idea that that foul thing was hanging out on door like that. at any rate, i wanted to comment that this isn't your best work. while interesting in it's gruesome way, i don't think it matches the standard you've set for yourself with your previous couple of challenges.

Contrast good. Elicited personal emotion bad! ;) (I just happen to hate moths - but I will not let that influence my objectivity!)

At least it's not TOO scary at this magnification...

Would of got a lot more detail if you had turned the camera to take this shot. Seems as if half the picture was wasted though.

I wonder if that's his best side. Don't know if the space at right adds anything worthwhile. Nice contrast, but sharpness could be better.

Love the texture you captured on its wings, wish his face was crisper - nasty looking things though. good job.

This photograph appears to be out of focus to me.

This is a neat photo... I'm not really sure how to go about commenting... I'm not sure what camera you use, but I would really love this shot as a vertical crop... good job!

I love this photo! Insects can be such fascinating subjects, especially for black and white.

Hehe... nice idea. Maybe a tighter crop if possible. Good job...

The antennae seem out of focus.

<g> Your title is cute as a _bug_! Sorry had to say that. Creative idea. Nice job.

I like using the ROT rule, too, however, IMO it works better (in most cases) if there's something in the background. Also would like to see just little more DOF. Interesting angle though. Could've used that for upside down as well!
