Challenge: What is the Matrix? (Classic Editing)
Camera: Canon PowerShot A40
Location: Lancs UK
Date: May 20, 2003
Aperture: f3.5
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/80s
Galleries: Still Life, Advertisement
Date Uploaded: May 20, 2003

These items were iconographic of the first Matrix film. At time of release the nokia mobile was associated not only by product placement within the film but by cross - media advertising. Neo chooses to accept the phone, once being liberated he chooses his own image, stylised by the dark glasses, and he chooses between the red pill and blue pill.

The blue 'pill' was originally green, hue shifted in PS.

Good image. Good layout. I like how the lighting effects the image as well. Good job.

turning the blue pill so we can not read "starburst" would help.. lol good concept though

The idea is not terribly original (considering how many did similar things), but the execution is very nicely done. Tried myself to find jelly beans for a similar purpose, but didn't find any. Good luck - 6

Do you know what? I can read 'Starburst' on the blue pill - pity, kind of shatters the illusion a bit!

But a good shot - obvious relevance to the film. Nicely composed too.

The picture is a little dark and the "pills" give themselves away by letting me read "starburst" on the blue one. Otherwise nice.
