Well done Matt.
Might have to borrow that lens to fit on my camera sometime.
Enjoy

Well done, Matt! Glad to see the camera ban didn't last too long! Great shot!

This is just an amazingly informative, emotive capture! Love the spilled milk in that exertion to pump Momma. Use of a more open aperature would have decreased DOF and blurred the BG cows for a more favorable composition, but this is still one of my top ten picks for this challenge.

Good job. Black cows are really hard to photograph. Nice detail on the torso, but the head gets a little lost in the black background. Definitely fits the challenge.

I've never seen a nursing calf before... now I have. Thank you for the education.

Great capture, what a lovely opportunity. Very fitting for the challenge, too, and the DOF is spot on.

The fact that you can see tjhe milk running out helped to make this photo unique. 9

Good shot. Hard to get the exposure right on balck animals. I wish it was just a tad sharper.

7 - One of 2 7's I gave for 'milk coming from cows'. Criticism; really would like to see this a lot closer, or else without those other two girls behind. Camera/closeness dependent, a close up of that calf suckling, especially with the milk 'spilling', would have made a great shot. The grass seems a little 'light', but perhaps it is hard to do something about that with the blackness of the 'mother', which you have captured well.

Sloppy eater! Good crop...nice color contrast of the brown calf and black heifer. How does that happen, anyway....?

By far, the most relevant "cow" shot I have seen. Your patience paid off.

Somebody turn these farmers into the SPCA. These animals are emaciated.

Great contrast - nice of the mom and baby to be a different color.
