This is my favourite of your first round of shots with the new EOS-20D, mainly because I'm nuts about mono & duotone B&W's at the moment. It's a beautiful old knocker (presumably it really IS old?) I like the fine detail of the metal and in the wood grain. The composition is simple but very good. Maybe the black point could be adjusted up a bit to strengthen the black end of the tonal range, or perhaps just try a tiny bit more contrast? Anyway, the quality of the new camera is evident in this and the other new images. Let's see some more! |

Nice in its simplicity. Good use of filtering. |
