so which is it???... Personally I think the image is too busy and would have been executed better with just the single rose against a black background.

This looks like an ambitious photo that, unfortunately, falls a little flat. The highlights are blown out and the shadow areas are too flat. That said, I sincerely admire the attempt here. Keep trying this photo, I'd like to see a second (or third, or fourth, or whatever number you may be on) attempt on this. Bumping for effort.
