This is an awesome shot. A gradutated ND filter would have helped a lot with the sky.

Very well captured. I'd bring up curves a bit to really enrich the colors because the composition is well done!

This is such a wonderful photo. It feels like I'm standing right there and looking out at the mountain. I wish the sky was a bit more blue, but somethimes the sky just doesn't want to cooperate (I know that from experience!). Very good work here!

This is an absolutely stunning composition. What a gorgeous scene. And you have framed it just oh so nicely. Good detail. The lines of the trees and their reflection are just great, they take your view right into the image. Very nice! The sky does seem a little washed out, but in this case, I see it as a minor thing. Actually just looks like it's kind of misty at the mountain tops. There are a couple of tricks you can try on flat, washed or blown out skys. One, especially if there is not a lot of sky, is to select the sky, then pick a fitting shade of blue, and paint it with the paintbrush tool. Then do a little bit of burning to 'break' it up, and drop the opacity of that layer way down til it looks right. Another method is to again select the sky, pick a blue for foreground color, then apply a linear gradient, set on foreground to transparent, and then drop the opacity of the layer. You do have to watch when doing this when there is water and reflections present, that they (the reflection and actual sky) still match and don't end up looking way un-natural. Also in this image, I would probably tweak levels a little and try to strengthen the light to dark range, and add a little depth, but that's just me :-). Anyway, very nice work Tess. Beautiful photo, you've got a good eye.

Beautiful location and composition. The sky is obviously overexposed, but shots like this are really tough with the digital cameras. The lower portion of the picture is great as you can actually see all the details. With a shorter shutter speed to keep the sky and mountain tops from getting washed out would have cause you to lose much of the good detail in the lower portion of the shot. I think a lot of skilled photographers with these type of shots take two exposure and then combined the elements of both photos into one shot. I'm not that much of an expert, but there are plenty of people on the site that can help you with those techniques. Keep up the good work and have fun.
